Be Nice

SCARBOROUGH, ON (CP) --Be sure to ask your captain about our new "Non-Chirping" rule. A little bit of friendly chatter is fine, but last year there was way too much aggression aimed at both the umps and the other team. We've lost two of our best umps because of it and need to that kind of behavior go away. If that means we ask a couple of players to go away - so be it. After all folks, it is Friday coed slopitch - I don't think any of us are going to the show. So let's take our medication and go out there to have some fun.

Old News --- Stone Cottage Inn, 2007 Cha-Cha-Cha-Champs!

SCARBOROUGH, ON (CP) -- NFG year two ended just like year one, with the Stone Cottage winning it all. Hail the two-time NFG champs: The Stone Cottage Inn

Hot sun, tight games, laughs, great plays, errors, injuries …we are all part of the double knock-out season ending tourney. The packed Densgrove #1 stands (or #2 depending on who you are talking to) were thrilled by a back and forth battle between the 4th placed Adversaries and the 2nd placed Stone Cottage. The game was tight right up until the sixth inning, at which point the veteran Stone Cottage showed all their grit and skill to put the game away.

A great way to end NFG 2007, a year full of intense play and close competition. We all look forward to year three.
